Parkland Magnet Middle School for Aerospace Technology. Spoke to 900 middle school students about the challenges of being a Hispanic interested in science, how I overcame those challenges, the important skills and tools I learned in middle school, and how my teachers helped me prepare for high school and college. Also spoke about my interests, recent achievements, and advice to all students so that they may achieve similar success.

AIAA Region I YP Rocket Competition hosted by AIAA Region I and Tripoli Central Virginia. Competition will be held in Culpeper, VA. Helping to organize and promote the competition.

DCPS Development Day, Science and Social Studies Expo, at McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C. Spoke with middle and high school educators at the workshop about the fun and excitement that they could bring to their respective schools if they created a science bowl team.

Parent Teacher Night at Kelly Miller Middle School in Washington, D.C. Worked with DOE employees to distribute information about competing in the National Science Bowl at a table in the hallway. Recruited 12 students between 6th and 8th grades to sign-up.

Hispanic Heritage Month Family Day at National Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C.  Handed out brochures and spoke to families about potential opportunities in aerospace engineering on behalf of the University of Maryland.

Higher Achievement DC Metro.  Provided a group of elementary school children with a hands-on demo of paper helicopter models, a short talk, and a tour of the helicopter on campus.

Discovering Engineering Camp at University of Maryland for rising high school juniors and seniors. Spoke about college opportunities and briefly offered a roadmap to graduate school.
